My career, seemingly guided by the Fates, has been knitted by three closely related strands: more than 20 years of experience in teaching English, both abroad to speakers of other languages and in the USA as a secondary language arts and community college teacher; more than five years in administrative positions including graduate admissions, teacher supervision, and writing center administration; and several years teaching college courses in English composition.
